IsiQalo Bakery was started by Gabi Buthelezi. Gabi's business is a dream to develop a skills centre for young women to learn skills & bake for the local orphanage. It is also a wonderful cultural exchange opportunity where tourists can learn to make their own Zulu Bread from grinding to traditional baking.
Meet Gabi
Gabi is passionate about baking and dreams of baking cakes for special events in her community. Her higher purpose is to use Isiqalo Bakery as a vehicle to provide training and skills for women in her community often reliant on others for financial support so that these women can be financially independent.
Gabi requires ovens & baking equipment to get this off the ground and would benefit from a relationship with tour operators who could bring their guests through for a visit and Zulu bread making experience.
